Trimming the Christmas Tree

Napping by the tree

Enjoying the lights before bed

Sniffing his present from Betty and wishing he could open it up now instead of waiting until Christmas.

Snuggling with Jen

First Night in a Hotel

The day after Thanksgiving we skipped the malls and headed to San Antonio to go to Great America and ride the roller coasters. We stayed at La Quinta because they allow dogs.
Jen and I rode roller coasters and Scout stayed back at LQ and watched TV.

When we came back Scout was watching Police Academy. Hooks is taking her driving test.

Hightower is about to flip the police car over and get thrown out of the academy
Nothing can beat a day of riding roller coasters, eating pizza for dinner and watching a classic movie. Scout really enjoyed the experience and is ready to return to La Quinta soon.

Tooth Fairy

His baby canine teeth were loose for a couple of days before they fell out

Tiny teeth. He got his favorite treat, a bacon flavored Nylabone, from the tooth fairy

Graduation from Puppy Obedience

We used a hot dog tied to my waist to teach him how to heel. It's called the weiner walk.

He is an expert at sitting on command...especially when you have a treat

Scout had to successfully maneuver the obstacle course in front of the entire class in order to graduate. Sitting on top of the brown box was the final step.

Hurray he graduated!

Happy Halloween!

The skeleton costume was too small and the dinosaur costume was too big
but the "Guess Who?" t-shirt was just right

Getting ready to carve pumpkins

Sniffing out the Kit-Kats and Milk Duds before the trick-or-treaters arrive

Front door decorations for the trick-or-treaters include 9 ft spider web, huge spiders, spider egg sacs hanging down, flying witch in the skylight window and a steaming cauldron of candy.

Bark Park

We discovered the Bark Park which is now Scout's favorite place to play. There is a "small dog" section for dogs 2o lbs and under and the "large dog" section for the big boys. We orginally started in the small section but Scout's voracious appetite and his desire to rough house resulted in him now playing with the big boys.
Learning to swim in the pool which is shaped like a bone

Scout usually picks out the biggest dog and then chases after them, gets chased or a mixture of the two

He is too big for the "small dog" section now so he visits with old friends through the fence

The large dog section has huge mud puddles which are great to play in
Dirty dog!

Playing frisbee with Jen

He is learning to use the agility course but isn't willing to go through the tunnels yet even with Jen on the other end to entice him with treats

Scout sniffed one too many butts at the dog part and caught minor case of conjunctivitis

Peeping Scout now jumps in the shower with you if you don't shut the door

He opens up the curtain by himself...

...and jumps right in

Splashing around

All cleaned up from the park and hanging out in the back yard
